Features: P-'51 Bass Vintage

The HendriX P-'51 Bass single coil pickup, the "Mother" of P-Bass guitars is still hot.
Luthiers start building this characteristic bass again, although sometimes with their own model.
Peter Boekholt bas-guitar builder in Winterswijk, The Netherlands even build a kind of J-Bass but with
two P-'51 pickups. The instrument has a very specific tone that amazes each player that gets a go on it.
The spacing of both pickups is non traditional due to the placing of the pickups on the instrument.

The HendriX P-'51 is a bit improved but characteristic vintage sound remains.
The spacing of this pickup has traditionally been poor, although Seymour Duncan corrected it to coin-size with the
spacing of the bass. To keep the beautiful growly mids, the C.S.W. winding pattern is adjusted to do so.
The AlNiCo V magnets are a bit longer and thus the coil is bigger, which makes it possible to have some more
power while keeping firm low, transparent high with rich upper-harmonics.
This combination of firm low and smooth high will keep you uptight in the mix, on stage as well as in the studio.
